How we choose
We look for bars that physically suit a media wall: low height so they never block the screen, a single HDMI ARC cable to keep the wall tidy, and either a built-in or wireless subwoofer so no box has to sit in the frame.
Installation guide
Plan the recess
Decide the soundbar niche height and width before boarding, allowing airflow and a little clearance either side.
Run the cables first
Pull HDMI ARC and mains through the frame at first fix so nothing is visible later.
Mount and level
Fix the bar or bracket into timber, not plasterboard alone, and check it is level with the screen.
Set it up
Connect to the TV ARC port, enable ARC/CEC and run any room calibration the bar offers.
